Overview
Bluff is a fast, social card game of claims and lies for four players, played with a single deck — a streamlined version of the classic Cheat. You play cards face down while claiming a rank, and the claimed ranks advance around the table; when you suspect the last player lied, you tap Call Bluff to expose them. Guess right and they take the pile; guess wrong and you do. The first player to empty their hand wins.About the game
Bluff is a four-player shedding game played with a standard 52-card deck. Your goal is to become the first player to get rid of every card in your hand.
How to play
- Select one or more cards and play them face down.
- Your play claims that every submitted card matches the current rank.
- You may tell the truth or bluff about the cards you placed.
- Pass when you do not want to play, or call bluff on the previous claim.
- Empty your hand before the other three players to win.
Calling bluff
Call Bluff when you believe the previous player lied. Their most recent face-down cards are revealed.
- If the claim was false, the player who lied takes the entire pile.
- If the claim was true, the player who called incorrectly takes the pile.
Tips and strategy
- Track how many cards of the current rank have already appeared.
- Small believable bluffs are often safer than playing many cards.
- Notice when an opponent suddenly changes their playing pattern.
- Do not call every suspicious claim—the penalty can refill your hand.
