Farkle

Play Farkle free online — the classic push-your-luck dice game. Roll six dice, set aside the scorers, and decide when to bank before a Farkle wipes out your turn. First to 10,000 points wins. No download or sign-up.

Overview

Farkle is a classic push-your-luck dice game, played here against the computer. On your turn you roll six dice, set aside the ones that score, and then face the game’s central gamble: bank the points you have gathered, or risk them all on another roll for more. The first player to reach 10,000 points wins — but greed is punished, because a roll with no scoring dice wipes out everything you built that turn.

Goal

Be the first player to reach 10,000 points. Before your total gets on the board, you must collect and bank at least 500 points in a single turn.

Taking a turn

  • Roll all six available dice.
  • Select one or more scoring dice and tap Keep.
  • Roll the remaining dice to grow your turn score, or tap Bank to add your eligible points to your total.
  • If a roll contains no scoring dice at all, you Farkle and lose every unbanked point from that turn.

Scoring

  • A single 1 scores 100 points; a single 5 scores 50.
  • Three 1s score 1,000 points.
  • Three matching 2s through 6s score their face value multiplied by 100.
  • Four, five, or six of a kind multiply the three-of-a-kind score by 2, 3, or 4.
  • A full 1–6 straight or three pairs scores 1,500 points.

Hot dice

If all six of your dice score in a single turn, you get ‘hot dice’ and may roll all six again — while keeping your accumulated turn score on the line.

Strategy and tips

The key decision is when to stop. Many players bank once their turn score is comfortable rather than chasing hot dice with only one or two dice left, where a Farkle is most likely. With more dice remaining the odds of scoring are better, so pushing on a fresh six is far safer than gambling on the last die. When you are far behind late in the game, take bigger risks to catch up; when ahead, bank early and often.

Controls

Tap Roll, then tap the dice outlined in gold to select them. Tap Keep to add a valid selection to your turn score, and Bank when it is available to save your points permanently.
