Stuck in the Mud
Five dice, two troublesome numbers: roll the free dice and watch the 2s and 5s get stuck in the mud. Play against the computer or take turns on the same screen.
How to play Stuck in the Mud
Each turn starts with five six-sided dice. Roll them all. Any die showing a 2 or a 5 is stuck and moves into the brown mud strip. Leave those dice there for the rest of the turn and keep rolling only the free dice.
Scoring a roll
If none of the dice you just rolled shows a 2 or a 5, add their sum to your turn score. For example, 1, 3, 4, 6 and 6 scores 20 points. If any newly rolled die shows a 2 or a 5, that entire roll scores zero. Points earned on earlier rolls in the turn stay safe.
Stuck dice are ignored on later rolls. If three dice remain free and they show 1, 3 and 4, that roll adds eight points even though the other two dice are already sitting in the mud.
Finishing your turn
Keep rolling until all five dice are stuck. Your accumulated turn score is added to your total, then the other player starts with all five dice free. There is no Hold or Bank decision: the dice decide when the turn ends.
Winning and target scores
Choose 100 points for a quick game, 300 for a longer game, or the default 500-point classic target. The first player whose total plus current turn score reaches the target wins immediately, even while dice remain free. The other player does not get a final catch-up turn.
Game modes
Solo vs AI pairs you with a computer opponent that rolls automatically. Pass & Play lets two people take turns on the same screen. Both players follow exactly the same scoring rules, and every roll uses the free dice.
