Overview
Crazy Eights is a classic shedding card game — the goal is simply to be the first to get rid of all your cards. On your turn you play a card that matches the top card of the pile by suit or by rank, and the round ends the moment someone empties their hand or everyone is stuck and passes. This version offers a four-player game against three AI and a two-player game against one AI, with online multiplayer listed for later.
How to play
Play a card that matches the open card’s suit or rank. If you cannot play, draw up to three cards from the stock; if you still cannot play after that, you pass to the next player. Emptying your hand ends the round, and play continues across several rounds until someone wins on total score.
Wild eights
Every eight is wild. You may play an eight on almost any card, and when you do you choose the suit that the next player must follow. Because eights break you free of an awkward suit, they are the most valuable cards in your hand — and denying them to opponents is part of the game.
Scoring
When a round ends, the cards left in the other players’ hands are counted against them: each eight scores 50, every face card and ten scores 10, and all other cards score their face value. The player with the lowest total after five rounds wins, so getting caught holding an eight is especially painful.
Strategy and tips
Hold your eights until you genuinely need to control the suit or block an opponent who is close to going out — playing them too early wastes their power. Shed your high-value cards early so you are not stuck with them if someone else goes out first. Pay attention to the suit each opponent struggles to follow, and steer the game toward it.
Controls
On your turn, tap a matching card or an eight to play it; if you play an eight, choose the next suit. If you have no legal card, draw up to three and then pass. Use the menu to pick your mode or start a new game.
