Overview
Klondike is the classic patience game most people simply call ‘solitaire’. It is played with a single standard 52-card deck laid out into seven tableau columns, a stock, a waste pile, and four foundations. It rewards careful sequencing: uncover the hidden cards, build orderly runs, and bring every card home.Goal
Move all 52 cards to the four foundations. Each foundation is built up by suit, from the Ace through to the King. Complete all four suits and you win.Tableau rules
- Build downward in alternating colours — a red six goes on a black seven, and so on.
- Move a correctly ordered, face-up run as a single group.
- Only a King, or a run led by a King, may be placed into an empty column.
- Turn a face-down card face up as soon as it becomes exposed.
Stock and waste
Tap the stock to turn cards onto the waste pile; the top waste card is always available to play. When the stock runs out, tap it again to recycle the waste and go through it once more. Deciding when to draw, and when to hold, is part of the puzzle.Strategy and tips
- Always prefer moves that reveal a face-down card — hidden cards are the real obstacle.
- Do not rush cards to the foundations; you often still need them in the tableau to receive other cards.
- Try to open an empty column for a King, which gives you room to reorganise.
- Plan a few moves ahead before committing the waste pile.

- Drag a card, or tap it to see its legal destinations.
- Double-tap a card to send it straight to a foundation when the move is legal.
- Use Undo to take back moves while you plan.
- Start a fresh deal at any time, with smooth animations, sound, and a win celebration.
