Overview

Pyramid Solitaire is a matching game with a simple, satisfying hook: every pair of cards you remove must add up to exactly thirteen. Twenty-eight cards are stacked in an overlapping pyramid, and you dismantle it from the bottom, pairing exposed cards — an Ace with a Queen, a 5 with an 8, a 6 with a 7 — while Kings, worth thirteen all by themselves, are removed on their own. Beneath that easy-to-grasp rule sits a genuine puzzle, because each card can block two others above it, so the order in which you clear pairs decides whether the pyramid opens up or grinds to a halt. A stock and waste pile give you extra cards to work with, but they are limited, so timing when to draw is part of the challenge. About Pyramid

Twenty-eight cards are dealt face up in seven overlapping rows. The remaining cards form the stock, which feeds a face-up waste pile.

Goal

Remove every card from the pyramid by making pairs with a combined value of 13.

Card values and pairs

Ace counts as 1, Jack as 11, Queen as 12, and King as 13.
Useful pairs include Ace–Queen, 2–Jack, 3–10, 4–9, 5–8, and 6–7.
Kings are removed without a partner.

Which cards can be played?

Only uncovered pyramid cards can be selected.
An uncovered card has no remaining cards overlapping it.
You may pair two exposed pyramid cards, or an exposed pyramid card with the waste card.

Stock, controls, and undo

Tap the stock to turn over its next card.
Tap two available cards to attempt a pair.
Use Undo to restore earlier moves, or New Game for a fresh deal.

Strategy tips

Prefer pairs that uncover new cards in the pyramid.
Watch for cards blocking the same lower card.
Plan around the waste card before drawing again.
