Spiderette Solitaire

Play the compact, single-deck cousin of Spider across seven tableau columns.

Overview
Spiderette is Spider’s compact, single-deck cousin, and a great way to enjoy Spider-style play in a shorter sitting. It keeps the satisfying core of its bigger relative — building cards downward and assembling complete same-suit runs from King down to Ace, each of which clears automatically — but shrinks the board to seven tableau columns and a single 52-card deck. That smaller layout makes each game noticeably quicker and a touch more forgiving, so it is an ideal stepping stone for players learning Spider’s ideas before tackling the two-deck version. It still asks you to think ahead: exposing face-down cards, opening empty columns to reorganise runs, and preferring same-suit builds so your groups stay movable. With a choice of one, two, or four suits, Spiderette scales its difficulty just like full Spider, from a relaxed puzzle up to a real challenge, all in a format light enough for a quick break.
About Spiderette Solitaire

Spiderette delivers Spider-style sequence building with one 52-card deck. Its shorter seven-column layout makes games quicker while retaining Spider's tactical challenge.

Goal

Form four complete same-suit runs from King down to Ace. Each completed run is automatically cleared; clear all four to win.

Tableau rules
  • Build downward by rank regardless of suit.
  • Only a descending same-suit sequence can move together as a group.
  • Any card or valid group may fill an empty column.
  • A newly exposed face-down card turns face up automatically.
Stock and controls
  • Tap the stock to deal one card onto every column.
  • You cannot deal while a column is empty.
  • The final deal covers only the leftmost columns.
  • Use Undo to restore earlier moves, or New Game for a fresh deal.
Difficulty and strategy
  • Use the Suits button to choose 1, 2, or 4 suits; changing it starts a fresh game.
  • Expose hidden cards and create empty columns before dealing again.
  • Prefer same-suit builds so longer groups remain movable.
