Overview
5-3-2 — Paanch Teen Do — is a lively three-player Indian trick-taking game built around unequal goals. Each round the three players must win different numbers of tricks: the leader needs five, the next player three, and the last just two. Those targets rotate every round, so everyone takes a turn under the toughest quota. Played with a trimmed 30-card deck, it rewards sharp bidding and careful trump play, and the first player to 5 match points wins.
The deck and trump
The game uses 30 cards: 7 through Ace in hearts and spades, and 8 through Ace in clubs and diamonds. Cards are dealt clockwise, and after the first five cards each, the round leader chooses trump from that opening hand — then the last five cards are dealt. You play against two AI opponents.
Targets and tricks
The leader must make 5 tricks, the next player 3, and the last player 2, and these targets rotate with the leader each round. The leader opens the first trick, and everyone must follow suit if possible; if you cannot, you may play any card, including trump. The highest trump wins the trick, or the highest card of the led suit if no trump is played.
Scoring
At the end of each round, every player gains or loses points equal to the tricks they won minus their target — so overshooting or falling short both matter. The first player to reach 5 match points wins the match. Because the targets are uneven, the round leader carries the most pressure but also the most opportunity.
Strategy and tips
When you are the leader chasing five tricks, only choose trump in a suit where you are genuinely strong. In the lower-target seats, aim to hit your number exactly rather than greedily grabbing tricks that push you past it. Track which trumps have gone, and remember that each opponent has their own target — sometimes letting a rival overshoot hurts them more than helps.
Controls
When it is your turn to call, choose trump from your opening five cards. On your turn, tap a card to play it; the game enforces following suit. Use the menu to start a new match.
